Peroxide solution is for disinfecting, cleaning, rinsing, and storing
your contact
lenses. However, it is extremely important to note that this type of
solution requires special handling. The instructions below must be followed
carefully for safe use.
- Never apply peroxide solution directly to
your eyes, as it can cause serious injury.
- Never use a flat contact
lens case with peroxide solution. Only use a special case designed specifically
for peroxide solution that contains a neutralising disc that is included with
the solution.
- Never remove the lenses from the special case before
completion of the neutralisation process (at least 6 hours).
- Never
overfill the case with solution. Leaked and non-neutralised solution can
inadvertently come into contact with lenses or your fingers, causing injury.
Precautions and rules of use are specified on each of our peroxide
solution descriptions in a red warning box. Make sure to thoroughly read it
before purchasing and using your solution.
This type of solution is
unique and comes with many benefits. Among other benefits, peroxide
solutions are particularly well-suited for wearers with allergies or those
who are sensitive to preservatives that can be found in multipurpose solutions.
The disinfecting process includes the necessary step of neutralisation, which
will be either a one-step or a two-step process.
