Traumatization

Traumatization generally causes irritation of the eye tissues (conjunctiva, eyelids and the cornea). Contact lenses can have a good, protective effect for eye lids because they help to regenerate the corneal epithelium. But traumatic injury can also be caused by contact lenses if they don't fit the eye properly. This irritation can lead to erosion of the cornea. Trauma can also cause eye inflammations.
