Nystagmus

Nystagmus is an eye disorder that causes uncontrolable back-and-forth movements of the eyeball. Nystagmus can be a side effect of certain eye diseases, including albinism, severe refractive disorders, or amblyopia. It can also be triggered by pathologically caused pressure. Everyone exhibits some degree of nystagmus as a natural reflex when trying to monitor nearby surrounding options at a high velocity. (eg. When traveling by train) We can distinguish the different forms of nystagmus from the direction of the eye movement. They can be horizontal (side to side), vertical (from top down), diagonal (oblique), and various combinations of the aforementioned.
