Keratoconus

Keratoconus is an eye disease in which the cornea changes into a more conical shape, thus impairing vision. Keratoconus is a hereditary disease that can survive in the gene pool through several generations. This defect can be corrected with hard contact lenses, and usually occurs during puberty.
