Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease that can cause permanent vision loss. It is incurable, but can be managed if detected early. Patients may not be immediately aware of this disease, as it is the result of a very gradual degeneration of the optic nerve and increased ocular pressure. Often it is only detected when patients begin to notice interruptions in their field of vision.
