Contact lens discomfort

Contact lens wear can be unpleasant for some people. Some people may experience a permanent unpleasant feeling of a foreign object in the eye, as well as itching or scratching.

This is often the result of choosing wrong type of contact lenses or the wrong specifications (inadequate diameter and curvature parameters, unsuitable material or lens design). In many cases, these uncomfortable feelings can result from an incorrectly chosen contact lens solution. Discomfort can also be caused by using several pharmacological drugs or medications, especially those for contraception and allergies.
