Abbreviations in contacts

Contact lens abbreviations are indicated on packaging and blister packs.

• D - diopter value
• DIA - lens diameter
• BC - lens base curvature (radius)
• LOT - batch number
• EXP - expiration of the product (month and year)

At toric contact lenses there are these two shortcuts:

• AXIS - axis of the cylinder
• CYL - cylinder value (in diopters)
